As the weather cools down and the leaves start to change color, it's the perfect time to get outside and enjoy all that nature has to offer. But if you need to get cosy and feel warm, then these yoga poses will help you connect with the Earth element, balance your energy, and find clarity and peace of mind.
1. Warrior III Pose: This pose is perfect for harnessing the power of the elements. As you stand on one leg, extend your arms out to your sides, and bend your torso forward, you'll feel a sense of grounding and stability. Warrior III is also a great pose for stimulating circulation and building confidence.
2. Camel Pose: This pose is perfect for releasing tension in the back and opening up the chest. As you arch your back and reach your hands back to grasp your ankles, you'll notice a deep stretch in your shoulders, neck, and chest. Camel pose is also said to promote emotional balance and well-being.
3. Tree Pose (Vrksasana)
This pose is excellent for improving balance and concentration, finding your center and connecting with nature. Start by standing with your feet hip-width apart and place your right foot on your inner left thigh. Place your hands in front of your heart in prayer position. Press down evenly into both feet and lengthen your spine. Gaze up at your left hand. Stay here for 5-10 breaths before repeating on the other side.
4. Warrior II (Virabhadrasana II)
This is a powerful pose that helps to build strength and stamina. Start by standing with your feet hip-width apart and take a big step back with your left leg. Bend your right knee so it's directly over your ankle and extend your arms out to either side, parallel to the floor. Look over your right hand. Stay here for 5-10 breaths before repeating on the other side.
These yoga poses are perfect for connecting with the autumnal energies. So, I hope you are enjoying the cooler weather, and let nature inspire your practice!
